Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we have decided to run Dingle Lit online this year. All online author events are free to attend, leaving it at your discretion to make a donation to support the costs of running the festival.
If you are unused to attending online events please read this carefully so that you can maximise your enjoyment of the festival.

Author Events

We have asked guests to pre-register for author events in order to save your space, as we are limited to the numbers we can admit.

On each webpage for the author events, you will see a green button “Save my place / Preregister for this event”, click the button and you will be guided through the process.
Registration for events is through the Eventbrite ticketing platform; think of this as the ticket office where you pick up your ticket.
Events will be broadcast on Crowdcast – think of this as a TV channel, but online. It is a good idea to log in to Crowdcast (www.crowdcast.io) in advance of attending your events to familiarise yourself with it. It has features such as interactive chat amongst attendees and Q&A where you can put questions to the authors at live events.

There is a course fee payable to attend a workshop. On each webpage for the writers’ workshops, you will see a green button “Book Your Place”, click the button and you will be guided through the process.
All writing and poetry workshops will take place over Zoom. If you will be logging in from a mobile device, make sure to download the Zoom app in advance. You will be sent a link to the Zoom meeting; try and ‘arrive’ early so any technical issues can be resolved before the workshop is due to start.
