Dingle Lit Festival, an annual celebration of literature set against the stunning backdrop of the Dingle Peninsula, announced it’s full author event programme. Scheduled to take place from Friday, November 15th to Sunday, November 17th, this year’s festival promises a compelling literary experience that will inspire and engage attendees of all ages.
The 2024 festival will feature an impressive lineup of established authors, including Oliver Jeffers, acclaimed for his imaginative children’s literature and distinctive illustrations. His books have been translated into many languages and are enjoyed by children worldwide.
This year’s festival will offer diverse events, including author readings, panel discussions, and workshops tailored for all ages. These activities are designed to celebrate the literary arts, Irish literature and foster a vibrant community of readers and writers.
Dingle Lit Festival features a bilingual programme connecting English and Irish literature, was established in 2019 with a dual purpose: to present leading contemporary English-language writers to local audiences and to celebrate the region’s rich literary and cultural heritage through Irish language events, while also supporting new Irish talent.
