Ponc Press is a bespoke letterpress printing business using an original Heidelberg 1955 Platen Press. The studio was formerly known as the Hawthorn Press then Púca Press before it was taken over and renamed in July 2014 by its new owners.

Heiko Rolff will give an insight into the process of having a poem printed or working on a book with Ponc Press, explaining the deeply manual, somewhat archaic artisan methods of letterpress printing. With cases of lead type, a composing stick and a chase (with furniture) he will physically demonstrate the process of typesetting.

He will be joined by local artist and illustrator Bob Ó Cathail, who worked on the latest latest concertina book, An Bodach. Irish language poet Ceaití Ní Bheildiúin will also discuss her work, Translating Brandon Mountain, which features her Irish language poems alongside English translations by David Knowles.
