AUTHORS PAY & CONDITIONS POLICY
Dingle Lit is funded by the Arts Council and commits to upholding its Paying the Artist policy.
We pay authors €250 for “in conversation” events
We pay interviewers €150 per interview.
We are upfront about the fees from the first email or phone call re. an offer of work.
We respect every artist’s right to negotiate upwards on any fee offered.
We ensure that the initial communication reflects the full scope of what an author is expected and required to deliver, including details of any video or audio recordings that will be made of the event.
We ensure writers’ fees are ringfenced within our budget so that fees are protected if overruns occur in other areas of our operations.
Fees are paid within 14 working days of receipt of BACS details.
We cover the cost of travel up to €64 where the writer is travelling outside their county of residence. We also cover accommodation where the length of travel involved necessitates it.
We ensure that writers’ copyright is respected, both in terms of moral and economic rights.
We believe in the importance of transparency on matters of pay and working conditions, and that sharing this information publicly is to the benefit of all writers and artists.

BEARTAS ÍOCA & COINNÍOLLACHA d’údair
Tá Dingle Lit á mhaoiniú ag an gComhairle Ealaíon agus geallann sé a pholasaí Ealaíontóirí a Íoc a chomhlíonadh.
Íocaimid €250 le húdair as ucht imeachtaí “i gcomhrá”.

Déanaimid cinnte go léiríonn an chumarsáid tosaigh an scóip iomlán a bhfuiltear ag súil leis agus a iarrtar ar an údar a sheachadadh, lena n-áirítear sonraí aon fhístaifeadtaí nó taifeadtaí fuaime a dhéanfar den imeacht.
Déanaimid cinnte go ndéantar imfhálú ar tháillí scríbhneoirí laistigh dár mbuiséad ionas go gcosnaítear táillí sa chás go mbíonn róchaiteachas i gceist i réimsí eile dár n-oibríochtaí.
Íoctar táillí laistigh de 14 lá oibre tar éis sonraí BACS a fháil.
Clúdaímid suas le €64 i gcostais taistil nuair a bhíonn an scríbhneoir ag taisteal lasmuigh dá chontae cónaithe. Clúdaímid lóistín freisin nuair a éilíonn fad an taistil é.
Déanaimid cinnte go dtugtar aird ar chóipcheart scríbhneoirí, ó thaobh cearta morálta agus eacnamaíocha de araon.
Creidimid sa tábhacht a bhaineann le trédhearcacht maidir le cúrsaí pá agus coinníollacha oibre, agus gur chun leasa gach scríbhneora agus ealaíontóra atá sé an fhaisnéis seo a roinnt go poiblí.
Is ón doiciméad beartais Ealaíontóirí a Íoc de chuid na Comhairle Ealaíon a fuarthas mórán den fhoclaíocht thuas agus tagaimid leis na prionsabail sin.
