Siobhán Prendergast

Siobhán has over two decades’ experience in publishing, and has worked with many prestigious publishing houses and prize-winning authors including Anita Brookner, José Saramago, W.G. Sebald, Mary McAleese, Ken Bruen, Peter Høeg, Gerry Adams and Alice Taylor.  

In 2014 she set up Dingle Publishing Services to assist independent authors to professionally self-publish, the result of which has been a beautiful collection of self-published books. 

Siobhán has a Master of Arts with Distinction in Publishing from the University of Plymouth and an honours degree in English from University College Dublin. She is an Advanced Professional Member of the CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) formerly the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) in the UK and is a Full Member of the Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders and Indexers of Ireland (AFEPI Ireland).

In 2020 Siobhán was shortlisted for an International Excellence Award by the Association for Publishing Education UK for her research on bringing traditional publishing standards to independent authors. Siobhán was also invited to speak as part of the research showcase at the London Book Fair Insights Seminars at The Olympia in London.
