Who the workshop is for

Unpublished writers aspiring to be published, be that through traditional or non-traditional channels. Writers who have been unsuccessful in their attempts to be published who would gain a better understanding of the industry and how it works.

What the workshop covers

1. A summary of how marketing, publicity and sales interact within trade publishing.
2. How publishers find and reach their most important audiences – and what those audiences expect.
3. What’s expected of authors, and how you can make the most of all opportunities.
4. Plenty of case studies and inspirational examples throughout.
5. An interactive Jamboard session to help understand the importance of communications.

What you can expect

By the end of the seminar you will have a greater understanding of the role of PR, publicity and marketing and its contribution to publishing success. You will also know more about what a publisher will expect from its authors and, if self-publishing, what you will have to do for yourself.
