CREATIVE NON-FICTION WORKSHOP WITH KEVIN BREATHNACH

This one-day workshop will explore elements of non-fiction writing such as memoir, social commentary, cultural criticism, and the construction of narrative space and time.
Participants produce their own material by responding to prompts such as photographs, film stills, and biographical texts, learning how to read in search of metaphorically significant detail.

Flash Fiction Workshop with Nuala O’Connor

Poetry Workshop with Annemarie Ní Churreáin and Nicholas McLachlan

In this intensive and stimulating workshop, co-piloted by poets Annemarie Ní Churreáin and Nicholas McLachlan, students will be encouraged to experiment with language and ideas, to gain confidence in the shaping of poems on the page and to acquire knowledge of some of the techniques most commonly used in the trickster trade of writing poetry.

One-To-One Poetry Feedback Session

Poets are invited to submit a maximum of 5 pages of poetry to former Kerry Writer In Residence Annemarie Ní Churreáin ​who will provide feedback on each poem in the form of a short report and who will arrange to meet you at the festival for a 40 minute session to discuss your work.
