Festival PA System. Invitation to tender for the 2025 festival
Dingle Lit clg is inviting quotes for the supply of public address sound equipment and management for our author events during the 2025 Dingle Literary Festival that takes place on the 21, 22, and 23, November.
Location and schedule
Most of the events will take place on Saturday 22, and Sunday 23.
We are planning on hosting events in the Dingle Skellig Hotel (capacity 200) and An Díseart, in the Chapel, capacity 90. We require spoken word sound systems in the Skellig and the Chapel. The maximum on the stage will be 3 x authors + 1 interviewer. We will also require a two roving microphone in each for the Q&A’s.
The first event will be on Friday evening in the Chapel of An Díseart starting at 18:00. We anticipate there being a maximum 12 events with six on Saturday 22 and six on Sunday 23. On Saturday and Sunday we expect that the first event will commence at Noon, ending on Saturday at 9pm and on Sunday at 5pm.
You will be responsible for scoping out the venues to ensure there is adequate technical facilities for you to complete the work.
Process
Submit your tender by email to treasurer@dinglelit.ie no later than 17.00 on Monday 31st March 2025
In your tender, please specify the equipment you intend using and the personnel who will be operating the equipment and delivering the service.
Dingle Lit clg is happy to accept tenders from a single business or a joint tender by cooperating individuals or businesses. In each case the names and brief outline of the experience of those offering to do the work is asked for.
Key terms and conditions
Receipt of Tenders
Tenders will be received up to the time and date stated. Those received before the due date will be retained unopened until then. It is the responsibility of the tenderer to ensure that their tender is delivered not later than the appointed time.
Acceptance of Tenders
By issuing this invitation Dingle Lit clg is not bound in any way and does not have to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to accept a portion of any tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in their tender.
Inducements
Offering an inducement of any kind in relation to obtaining this or any other contract with the Dingle Lit clg will disqualify your tender from being considered and may constitute a criminal offence.
Confidentiality of Tenders
Please note the following requirements, you must not:
- Tell anyone else what your tender price is or will be before the time limit for delivery of tenders.
- Try to obtain any information about anyone else’s tender or proposed tender before the time limit for delivery of tenders.
- Make any arrangements with another organisation about whether they should tender, or about their or your tender price.
Failure to comply with these conditions may disqualify your tender.
Costs and Expenses
You will not be entitled to claim from Dingle Lit clg any costs or expenses which you may incur in preparing your tender whether your tender is successful.
