Join poet Enda Wyley for an immersive one-day poetry workshop celebrating poetry and helping you shape your own poetic voice. The workshop is designed for anyone who loves poetry and wants to write it, offering a supportive and creative space to explore the craft.
This will be an encouraging space for anyone interested in reading and writing poetry, from beginners through to emerging poets. We will work as a supportive creative team and will learn from each other in a positive and happy workshop environment.
What the workshop covers:
Poetry workshop participants will:
• Encounter work by established poets.
• Respond to guided writing prompts.
• Explore imagery, form, and focus.
• Learn how to edit and strengthen a poem.
• Build confidence and momentum as writers of poetry – and have fun!
What a participant will need to bring with them:
Participants will be asked to submit one poem in advance of the workshop, should they wish to have it workshopped by the group. There will be no pressure on anyone to share new work – but if participants are happy to do so, this workshop will be an encouraging and positive environment for new poems to be celebrated. Please bring pens and paper/ notebooks to the workshop.
